About arts

Hi, I’m Susana.

I believe healing isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about developing a different relationship with yourself.

My role is to offer a compassionate and collaborative space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, and make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. Together, we’ll become curious about your thoughts, emotions, body, and nervous system, not to change who you are, but to better understand you.

My work integrates counselling, somatic therapy, nervous system education, mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed practices. Every session is tailored to your needs, combining conversation with practical, body-based tools that support lasting change.

My hope is that our work helps you reconnect with the clarity, resilience, and inner wisdom that have been there all along.

Frequently asked questions

WhaT CAN I EXPECT FROM A SESSION?

Every session is different because every person is different.

Some sessions involve talking, while others may include mindfulness, body awareness, breathwork, gentle movement, visualisation, or practical exercises. We work together at a pace that feels safe and supportive for your nervous system.

You never have to share more than you’re ready to

How do I know if this is right for me?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected from yourself, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, therapy may be a supportive place to begin.

My approach is particularly suited to people who are looking for more than just talking. Together, we’ll explore both your thoughts and your body’s experience to support meaningful, lasting change.

WHAT APPROACHES DO YOU USE?

My work is integrative, drawing from counselling, somatic therapy, nervous system education, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed practices, embodiment, yoga philosophy, and psychoeducation.

Rather than focusing on one technique, I tailor each session to your individual needs, helping you understand both your mind and your body.

WHAT IS SOMATIC THERAPY?

Somatic therapy recognises that our experiences are held not only in our thoughts, but also in our bodies and nervous systems.

By gently bringing awareness to physical sensations, emotions, movement, and breath, we can begin to understand our patterns, build regulation, and process experiences in a way that feels safe and sustainable.

Do I have to talk about my past?

Not unless you want to.

While understanding your past can be helpful, we don’t need to revisit painful memories before you’re ready. We focus on what’s happening in your life today while building the safety and capacity needed for deeper work, if and when it feels appropriate.

How many sessions will I need?

Everyone’s journey is different.

Some people come for support through a specific challenge, while others choose ongoing therapy for deeper personal growth. We’ll regularly review your goals together and ensure the work continues to meet your needs.
